 Julia's faithful companion doesn't want to miss all the fun. Technical notes for the Teeming Millions, in case one of you ever needs to scan a bear: this picture was taken one evening when Julia's faithful companion leapt onto an HP Scanjet 5p flatbed scanner, pressed his nose up against the glass, and refused to go to bed until his picture was up on Julia's web page. Initial attempts resulted in very poor picture quality due to light spills, but blanketing bear and scanner with several layers of Epilogue "ToasterNet '91" T-shirts (ie, a reasonable aproximation of blackout cloth) and turning off all the lights in the office produced satisfactory results. | ||
